Essello named it for what it does: "off" for taking away makeup, dust and dead skin cells, "on" for what it leaves behind. Sodium hyaluronate and AQUAXYL hold moisture in the skin, and Bifida Ferment Filtrate (a fermented ingredient well known in Korean skincare) helps keep the skin barrier comfortable while you cleanse.

• Morning: use on its own. Pump once into wet hands, work into a lather, massage over the face for 30 to 60 seconds, rinse.
• Evening: use as the second step after Essello Clear-off Cleansing Oil. The oil lifts makeup and sunscreen; this washes away what is left.
• Use lukewarm, not hot, water. Pat dry and go straight into toner while the skin is still slightly damp.
• Gentle enough to use twice a day, every day, and on the days you do MTS.

Do I need both this and the Clear-off Cleansing Oil?
If you wear makeup or sunscreen, yes. Oil dissolves oil-based products; a water-based cleanser does not remove them fully on its own. If you wear neither, this cleanser alone is enough.

Is it a foam or a gel?
A gel that foams up when you work it with water. The foam is soft rather than dense.

Will it dry out my skin?
It is made not to. The hyaluronate and AQUAXYL are there to leave moisture in the skin. If your current cleanser leaves you tight, this is the one to switch to.

Why is it 500ml?
Essello is a professional brand used in Korean skin clinics, so the bottles are salon-size. It works out much cheaper per use than a 150ml tube.
